WTF Bass being gay

this only started happening like a month ago, when i throw in a bass sound on my tracks, the bass plays and takes out a lot of the rest of the sound, meaning mids and highs get lowered and you hear mostly bass. i try taking the bass down but you can only hear the highs and mids when the bass level is almost completely down. any ideas why this could be happening?

either ur moniters are fucked or u need to do a better job mixing the level of the bass cuz if u put a bass to high it will take away from other sounds regardless of what ur using..its happen to me till i mix em right

its not the monitors, it happens on headphones/any speakers... and i can't get the mids and highs to show unless i lower the level of the bass to almost nothing and then theres no bass. maybe im doing something else wrong? idk this shit is retarted

If your worried about what it "looks" like on the screen...dont.. just use your ears in this and all cases.
Bounce it then listen on a car stereo , a stock one, and then that will tell you.

Otherwise I have no idea what the problem is..Soundcard???

thanks for the help but i reinstalled my soundcard drivers and bam, all good now. kinda weird how that happened though
