I hate to keep posting this kind of stuff in a hip hip forum. But we only have less than 20 more days before all this crap is over. This guy makes some good points for being a Republican. Just curious as to what your thoughts were...



I was lead to this video by a guy who dissed me and hip hop. I am in the middle of prepping my response.

I like it, i have this debate all the time, he has alot of good points, the democrats have been taking advantage of the black vote for almost 50 years. WHile i dont agree with his consertivisim, i respect his view, and im glad that more black people are showing we all aint the same...

i feel where you comin from, but rememberthat Bush wasn't a true republican. Just some neo nazi conservative. The republicans havn't had a true republican in there party for a minute.

word Class. i didn't agree wit some of the conservative ideas, but he made a hell of alot of sense on most things.

I think its only fair for you to discuss these things, elections with such significance for the whole world are worthy of discussion IMO.
Its only when people start to get petty and arguing over the bullshit that is politics that threads start getting closed.
Im sure as long as everyone discusses it in a mature way then there should be no problem.
Besides, what with Obama being possibly the first black president, that holds a lot of relevance on a hiphop forum.
IMO Obama is the sane mans choice, he is easily the better candidate. If he doesnt win the election then something is very wrong. Mccain is still harping on about protecting you from "terrorists"(which is a big lie in itself).
Its just playing on the fears that Bush and the republicans have created in the first place.
Obama is very well spoken and easily shows his intelligence in debates. The choice is a no brainer, but the problem is, there are a lot of people in america with no brains.
The election should be a landslide, I get the feeling it wont be shown in the results.
But I also know that for Obama to even get the nomination and funding to run for president, then he has already compromised himself to his handlers.
I just hope hes as sincere as he comes across.

naw but he makes good points... but he fails to make a solid argument on why he is voting for McCain/Palin. He makes a good argument about the ideals and views of the party. Like I said on this forum, I personally am more in line with the "traditional" Republican idealism than the "traditional" democratic idealism. Small Government, Free Trade, Less taxes ..etc.. but the republican agenda has not stuck to those principles, and the democratic agenda just plain "worked" and the repub has not for twenty years and two bush's. he fails to make a strong argument why oBama would not be a good president. Obama vs McCain is diffent than dems vs republicans. Obama is the sane choice, like 2good said. And ludacris didnt have to rap that to me, I can figure it out for myself.

no woman should be patronized in this decision. if youre a christian, this may be your point of view, but forcing this on other people is deprivation of liberty.

and, please, pointing at guns in hollywood movies, while supporting a political party that sends troups to iraq and afghanistan, where innocent people get killed in massive numbers, thats bigotry to me.

this guys enthusiasm for conservative ideals is clearly comming from bad experience with a boundless lifestyle - his own or other peoples - which has nothing to do with political reality.

and most of the people on welfare are simply left behind. no intellectual challange, no understanding of literature, politics, arts, culture etc. their children never had a chance, and their grandchildren will never have a chance 2, they are a western societies' lower caste. if you were taught to think, good for you, but dont project upon others.
democracy lives from social balancing, otherwise its not a democracy, but feudalism of the rich, which ultimately might result in uprisings and revolution, as there were numerous before.

@Mono, I have to disagree on the abortion thing...It's a little different when the baby is alive and has a heart beat, compared to going into a condom, but that would be a whole other thread.

The guy made some good points but hes a walking contradiction....After about 4 min's he began to basically demean anybody who votes Democrat simply because of his insecurity of being under-fire for his beliefs in his own video. I mainly just wish he could stop bobbin around for 2 seconds while he talked so i could stop getting motion sickness.
