I don't know if you guys have heard about this, but someone created an AI band and people have been listening to the music on a bunch of streaming platforms. It's scary because this could easily become the new norm and the average person won't even know it's fake.

Check this out: https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/ai-band-hoax-velvet-sundown-1.7575874

But this part is really interesting:
He said listeners have become so accustomed to technology-aided "perfection" in recorded music that when they hear an AI-generated song, it might seem indistinguishable from something made by real people. Conversely, when a human voice goes out of key, or a song speeds up or slows down, people might perceive that as an error.

"The conditioning of our ears to algorithmic perfection in music has set the stage for AI to be poised to just take that job from us," Janes said.

All that perfection could possibly be our undoing. With everyone trying to get the perfect beat, song, mix, etc then at this point it opens up this kind of problem with AI. DAWs are at an all-time high with the amount of tools at our disposal, like RX and Ozone, for example.

I think this is a fascinating topic to discuss.

I seen that and they (or It) has a millions plus subscribers already on Spotify. The song for right now has no soul in it but its still good. Most people about to get fired and less deals about to be given. Why have a complaining artist(s) when you can create one that doesn't give the labels issues or meet their yearly quota and they can have all the money that been made

Yeah it sounds good but it's scary because this could be the future. You could use AI to make a full song, upload it to Youtube, monetize it, and make money with hardly any effort.

It's the issue of lack of quality control.

Is it any different to 12 year old remaking the same one trap song poorly produced and uploading it and getting loads of plays?

It's problematic. But dunno how much so.
Yeah but there's basically no effort and you don't have to know shit about music. Just enter a prompt and then you'll be a superstar.

That's not the future, it's happening now... And not only in music.

People are already getting sacked, to be replaced by AI. Still, these are the simple office jobs... But even well educated people should be kind of worried for what's coming:

Yeah a lot of jobs already are on their way out. I know of some people with over 20 years experience that are gone because of AI. That sucks.

There's computer science students right now that are worried, and they should be. All these jobs will still be around somewhat, but just a lot less people will be needed for those roles.

Exactly.

Luckily i'm doing something AI will never be able to. (Environmental soil survey, don't know if that exist in other country's). I take samples of soil from a designated area, send them to a lab to check if it's polluted, and write a conclusive report about it... I think within a few years time all these reports will be AI generated, so rn thinking about training an AI model for it. Saves me a lot of time (and of course money).

It really sucks because for me I've always been into creative arts. I even took that in college. I write good well, I code, and I used to draw too. All that shit is replaceable with AI.

Kill me now.

Id like to see AI deliver and install furniture without scratching the walls, damaging the floor or falling down stairs

Id like to see it find and attach the water inlet stop valve behind some kitchen cupboards that some arsehole of a kitchen fitter thought it would be hilarious to hide behind the fucking cupboards, and to add to the hilarity placed a waste pipe directly over it so it takes feats of remarkable contortion and magic to attach a water pipe to it, through a hole you can barely fit a couple fingers through to do the thing up, if it ever manages to feed it through to where it can even begin to be attempted. Id willingly quit the day that fucking happens. Some humans have trouble doing this shit without damaging stuff or themselves, i feel pretty secure in my job, for now at least.

They already show us an example that robots will soon do everything i.e Rosie (The Jetsons) which we have also everything that was shown from that cartoon now and that was 1962, I robot (which looks like Elon Musk bots) & terminators

When I was a kid in the 80's, science books were telling me that by the year 2000 we will have colonised the moon, be flying in cars, and nobody would have to work as robots would be doing all the work and we would all be living a life of leisure.

The moment we are replaced by machines then us poor useless eaters and consumers of finite resources become surplus to requirement to our rich elite narcissistic overlords, and we will be wiped out en masse to preserve the finite resources for our glorious billionaire leaders

In Terminator the machines took over in 2029, foreshadowing? Maybe.

Same, but I think the issue lies more with the fact that there are so many people that don't understand bad art, that goes for visual, music or other.

So a human would be able to make something a lot more significant, emotional and brilliant; the issue is, do the general humans even care for that?

Most think reality shows are real still and listen to what they're told to. The general public are not discerning
