From the first round, I imagined that there would be two beats that had to go to the finals because they were 100% Premiere and 100% dope. One of them is still there. I'm not sure about the other, I should check because with age, my memory is getting worse. For sure, there are some beats that I would have liked to see go further that have fallen behind, but overall, there are at least three beats in this lineup that I would agree with if they were to win. Why three beats if in the first round I only imagined two? Because I'm not so sure I'm a good judge of what Premiere style is. Maybe my judgment is stereotyped on some beats, and I imagine Premiere has varied a bit as well (and this was the thing I was counting on when I realized that my beat only vaguely close to his style 
).

Congrats to @E.D on the win!
This was so interesting because some beats just has a Boom Bap feel to it, whereas some had a straight up Premo feel, but still not 100% Premo. I found it tough to decide. I noticed a lot of chops but some seemed to be a bit too "musical", if you will. It's weird because with Premier his style is so unique, it's hard to really nail down.

Cngrats @E.D I expected that beat to win from when I heard it in round 1. Really thought @Iron Keys beat was made by @DJ Excellence even down to the scratches and everything

I feel like I just lacked some scratching and maybe "dry"er drums but that's all I can think of.

@Iron Keys dope beat. Needed a little more air (maybe overcompressed?), felt like it was just a bit too on the grid, just lacking that little swing? Dope sample choices and drums.
@2GooD Productions My favourite beat. Nailed this one dude. Weirdly I thought I'd know yours and wasn't sure if you'd stick to your usual mixing process. I feel like you changed things up here? regardless, the beat is my favourite of yours for a long time. Got major repeat value.
@Ayatollah Herbs Sample choice wasn't great (a bit too happy, fruity) and it was involved in the mix for too long. The filter didn't help either. Preemo doesn't really mess with the samples all that much. Needed gaps and pauses to have the Preemo bounce. Drums weren't a million miles off though.

Thanks man, wanted to make something I could hear Jeru the Damaja on, went 100% swing and not so heavy on the snare. Preemo doesnt make his beats too complicated, the variation is very subtle. If only I had a mixer to do scratches I might have made it to the final.
I think @E.D really nailed it, I personally think @Iron Keys beat was a little bit too complicated for a Preemo beat, with too many change ups. Just my opinion. Overall I think the results were pretty much as I expected and I was impressed with some of the entries. Was a couple brackets I couldn't vote on as neither sounded anything like a Preemo beat. But props for trying to everybody involved, wasn't sure we would get a full house, but we did, so that was good to see.
