Always played instruments. But I started playing the drums when I was 14 (jazz band) then started to dj in college. After that I wanted to make some of my own shit. SO I bought a machine for 500 bones. I have to say playing the drums helped alot.
I have heard that song WILD SIDE. he is actually rappin about socially concious issues. This was back in like 1990. I suggest you all give it a try without judgin it. Damn!!! I am nor sayin he is a great rapper, but he definetely could compete back then.

Actually Rjd2 isnt known for his beats for mcs. He is great at it, but he is truly known for his instrumentals. Lots of mcs find it hard to rhyme over his beats because there are so many stages in his songs. Butm Big up for mentioning Rj.

I think loyalty has diminished in the game. Rap is better when you hear a beat for a couple of seconds and you are like oooh, thats that pete rock and cl shiot! ya know?
