Yea, done bear shows without emcees, most EDM but always shove some hip hop into the mix…. Do it with ableton and a “mixer” midi controller…. Load up whole tracks in two strips to act as the decks and then the rest of the strips be filled with loops, Fx, vox etc….clips triggered of the laptop...- Haze47

Portable Audio Interface
i got an Emu USB 0202 for my laptop..... i like it, i like EMUs products.... if you want a tad more got for the EMU 0404.... i recommend both, i got the old emulator x 1820 for my main rig.... lush as.... safe -
Sample Chopping
i work out where the 1,2,3 & 4 hit, so for a one bar sample, ill chop at where the first snare will hit, the 2nd kick and the 3rd snare, then timestretch them to the correct tempo.... -

Dubstep.
mate am so into Noisia at the moment, the bass is ridiculous, resample, resample, resample, resample! been doing a couple of neurofunk bits and bobs recently, still turning more into IDM jungle, but hey! i agree 85% of dubstep is absolute WANK! Sub Focus is NOT dubstep btw.... he is gay... -

this might find stupid but have you checked the velocity knobs on the NNXTs and Redrum channels are not in the middle.... if you can only play one velocity per se, it is generally because those knobs are stright down the middle....
