    usually the lowest you want to have for a loop is 4 bars, 16 beats, it can go down to 8, and a ton of the time it does, but im used to 4 bar loops, and 4 bar as opposed to 2 bar loops ussually help to keep the melody fresh throughout the track

    question: extending the tail of a sample

    easy way to do exactly what your talking about is to use RECYCLE and set the trail to different values, it sounds very releastic and you can stretch it out to like 100%, which i beleive doubles the sample, and it doesn't just sound like reverb, it sounds like an additive decay

    DAMN! i don't know why i never did that, i just always have it set to snap to cell, it's nice now that i know i can quantize my input data, its not really as good as cubase's quantize but it's still dope, and formant, he was right, i was mixed up, and are you talking about recording to the step...

    i am 99% sure it doesn't have a feature that quantizes automatically as soon as you input, such as cubase, and what i mean by the midi out is how like in cubase if you have sampletank loaded up, it has 16 outs and they can each be individually mixed on different tracks of cubase's mixer

    So, FL Studio is a pretty dope all-around program, but I'm sure we would all implement/fix something about it if given the chance, let's hear it! I wish there was an auto-quantize feature that you could set to quantize your notes on input, like Cubase has, that, I feel is the biggest downfall...

    i usually do, in some cases i will punch it in without quantize, then go in and quantize notes that are too off, and leave some, but usually i quantize them since i beleive i have a couple ms of latency

    pretty sure the Q is the width of the band that is applying EQ, im not sure what it stands for, but i think the lower the Q is the wider and mellower the boost or cut will be, (over a broad range of frequency) and the higher it is the more it will resemble like a jagged peak from a rolling hill...
