What Makes a Hip Hop Album A Classic

It has to be Refreshing first and foremost. Anybody who enjoys Hip-Hop has to be able to buy 10 CD's this Classic among them. Listen to them 1-9 then the Classic. After Hearing the Classic it has to make them fall in love with Hip-Hop. Producing Standpoint: Like above it has to be simple...

Sampling - Where to draw the line.

Really though I think producing now a days has gotten too advanced for its own good in its relevance to Hip-Hop. I mean yes, it's always been an artform within Hip-Hop along with MC's, DJ's, Graff Artists, etc. But I mean there were the days when producers walked hand-in-hand with MC's you put...

    sampling

Is it a recent song or old song? Do you have the vinyl to it? Some vinyl has/had acapella version with them. If it's recent you can probably find the acapella too on the net

    A tight beat, but...

Get some people who've never hear any of your beats and let them listen to a selection of your beats including these new ones that way they aren't used to any of your particular styles and have them rate each one.

    Exclusive rights+Leases...

Well is your work copyrighted? If they go and use it on an album and you have it copyrighted and only sold as a lease you can sue em. However, as to you reselling an exclusive beat that just depends on how honest a business man you are. But yes, you can use contracts.

how productive are you with beatmaking?

I'm not very productive. I'd have to check the other computer to see how many I've honestly put out but I only actually put up two on my soundclick site so...I mean I start a lot but if I feel it's going nowhere then I start up something new that I feel and finish. Sometimes i keep remnants of...

    Instrumental Block?

I'm wondering if any of you all have this problem. It's not really producer's block because I'll go ahead and lay down a track even though I'm fairly new at this. But the problem is i"m stuck on an instrument - the piano. Because I'll go to sample and immediately jump to a piano piece or if I go...

Rapper accidentally kills himself with pen gun...

Ok, even if your just trying to see if a gun works....why point it at your head? Why not away and at a wall, a tree, the floor....but your head? THat's like....well....testing to see if a gun works by pointing it at your head. I thought it was common sense that you just DONT do it.

Exactly, all it means is you step your game up, you ahve to become better than Rocwilder. And pretty soon someone comes up to you and says "Well I can get a Rocwilder for 50 bucks so why I should I buy from you for a higher price" You ahve to be able then to pull out your CD give it to them and...

Producer Rockwilder gonna help out up and coming producers, selling beats for $50

I think its just that. It'll cut out only really "online producers". Yes, the internet is where you can get national/international exposure through beats to rappers halfway across the world. But if you do more than stay online to get yours I think you'll still be fine. It will just force people...
