    gate fx in fl studio?

In the gate effect tutorial it uses a Fruity Peak Controller. You said about the khz range which Fruity Peak Controller should do for you. If it's still not what you're after then you should check out something like GateFX or similiar.

    which fl version you prefer?

6 all the way for me and I've been using FL since 2.7x. One thing that irks me is how ImageLine talked about Dynamic Loops plugin being part of 6 yet it never was included or even talked about ever again :(

    currupt *.flp file

That's nonsense. Anything can be repaired. The question is how. ImageLine could easily release a patching tool for corrupt FLP's, since FLP is their format. Just like zip/rar tools have ability to repair damaged archives. Oh and I speak from programming experience, having been doing it since...

Yes. One way is to hit the octave buttons on your controller if there's any else bring up the channel settings window(just click one of the channels) and then click MISC, then you'll see a keyboard at the bottom of this window. dope rocky sample flip in fl (video)

Plus it's his opinion. There's always going to be the peanut gallery(I think this is as nice as I can be and I probally fall into this category on many occasions) who will do anything to keep their beloved from being ridiculed and you can't blame them but in the end it's all subjective.

    midi keyboard

Not quite the answer you're after but FL has a velocity linking option in MIDI options which you may want to look into.

    Sticky Show Your Setup!

You can get the transport controls working. You basically select Tascam as the generic controller type. Now FL's transport control buttons should be expecting values 20-24. This means that the play button might be looking for 21. Thus on your controller, you have the play button send out CC 21...

How do you know your beat is hot?

It's all subjective. What's good for one person might kill the next. I wouldn't worry about others opinions as in the end what matters is what you feel about the situation.

Go with a Novation ReMOTE if you can. The LE versions are cheap now. You can get the 49 version for like $200 and I only paid $340 for my ReMOTE 49 full edition.
