    Mpc500!!!!!!!

It would depend on what you want. The MPC500 has the benefit of being able to continue MPC projects on the go and then work on them on your main MPC when you come home and it has a sequencer (though the MIDI inputs are limited and you'd have to use MIDI pass-through.) The SP-404 has 24-bit/96...

    Mpc500!!!!!!!

I remember reading in a review (I think it was at BeatTalk) that Akai was going to put a battery in the MPC1000 and then realized that it would only run for two minutes. That's why I believe the MPC500 is stripped down, for reliable portable usage.

Naw - Boot Camp runs WINDOWS natively on Mac hardware. The software runs on WINDOWS. That's what I'm trying to say.

    Mpc500!!!!!!!

DJ Fantom, I agree with most of what you said, esp. on the portabilty tip but I disagree about the waveforms though - the SP-1200, MPC60, MPC3000, and many other samplers didn't have waveforms and niggas made some dope shit on those so I think the issue at hand is its sound quality 'cause...

    Whats the best way...?

Easy. Get a cheap synth and make some really stupid patterns with some booming kicks. Make sure it sounds like absolute SHIT. Then, master it to make it really pop. Over that, just yell "Get crunk, 1, 2, 3, 4, 'cause that's the way my partners roll" Dance around like a drunk-ass muthafucka and...

    Mpc500!!!!!!!

IMO, this is what I think is going down. No-one is going to pay the 799 MSRP - similarly, no-one payed the MPC1000's 1,500 MSRP. I believe that this machine is made more as a competitor to the SP-404 than a new MPC. Therefore, I believe that it will drop to such a price. Just my two cents, Deen

Well, for crunk, you just need to take your shit and somehow input it in your synth - Instant Crunk!

    MPC help

All the MPCs are fairly easy to pick up on. The MPC4000 has a slightly longer learning curve due to its increased features. Anyway, like Nicole said, just grab one that you can afford.

    MPC 60 vs. Laptop

I'd recommend getting a good MacBook with Logic Express (which is very full-featured and can later be upgraded to Logic Pro for the price difference between the two)

The greatest dj mixer ever!! Rane mixer TTM 57sl

You can do the same thing with a regular setup with Rane's Serato; it just won't be integrated like using the TTM 57SL.

    Copped the MV-8000

I don't think Dupri does but after watching the interview and the references in "Scratch", I think that the RZA really uses that machine.

    M-AUDIO vs. EMU

Have you made your mind on the padKontrol over the MPD24? Anyways, back to the question at hand; you should also check out Korg's MIDI keyboard (has the same keys as the Triton)
