MPC2000XL or New P4 3GHZ PC? HELP PLEASE!

Yes, you will. A lot of producers do that.

    Turntable To Computer

Well, some new turntables have RCA outs (Numark TTX.) but personally, love the 1200 (don't have it yet but getting one soon, I can't wait!) and I have a preamp so that's all good.

    Recommended Mic under 200$ ?

    BLUE "The Ball"

    Pad Controllers and Recommendations

Do that if you want but I don't recommend it. I don't think anyone's gonna pay that for a used Trigger Finger when they can get a new MPD16 for 100 bucks or a Axiom 25 for 180. No hate, just a heads up.

    Dr. Dre "Dream Team"

I was misinformed about those particular ones but I know for a fact that he gave away some Detox beats.

    Yamaha MX 12/4 Mixing Console

From my experience, it's a good series of mixers but I don't have much use for the thing (I will soon though.)

    Dr. Dre "Dream Team"

You have to remember, Dre is really supportive of the artists he puts out. He cancelled Detox a few years ago and gave a lot of dope beats away (In Da Club, Higher, Westside Story, for example.) Now that he's doing it, he has to make new beats to replace and match those classics he gave away.

    Yamaha MX 12/4 Mixing Console

I have the MG10/2 but it's pretty much the same, so I'll explain it. Plug the mic's XLR cable into the XLR input and turn on phantom power. Put RCA cables into "Rec out" and plug those into your sound card.

    Emu Emulator X2

It probably is. The Emulator X2 is a software version of BOTH the E-mu Emulator sampler and the E-mu Proteus sound module, which were some dope hardware. It also lets you get ROMs. So, yeah, it's probably worth getting. I don't have it yet but I'll probably get it in a month or so. My boy...

    "All Eyez On Me" style

Damn nigga, that's dope. Johnny "J" has been around. I'm in Napoleon Outlaw's clique (United Slaves) and our album was gonna be produced by Johnny "J" and so was his album. Napoleon left music though due to personal beliefs so I don't know if that's still gon happen. it's mostly well...

    "All Eyez On Me" style

Quik produced "Heartz of Men." I don't think Battlecat was on the album though. On the real, is he ya uncle? His beats were my favorite on the album!

I'd look it up homie but I'm out of town for a long-ass time (stationed in Asia, no Scratch :'C)

    "All Eyez On Me" style

Cosign that mos def. That's what I loved about the album. I'm listening to "Ambitionz Az A Ridah" right now and the beat is fairly simple but that Daz bassline is straight fire! Anyone know what their equipment was?

    "All Eyez On Me" style

If it's convenient, I had some questions fam, The Death Row production team did some very unique work w/ the production of this album. When I first got the album, I didn't like the beat style but the style grew on me and now I love it. What did they use to produce these beats? How would...

Who's your Fav. prod. and why?

    J. Dee: he was very skilled at making samples evocative. He'd also use human voice as an instrument in very interesting ways (listen to Talib Kweli's "Stand to the Side".) DJ Premier: We both have the same creative process for beats (obviously I pale in comparison to even his worst material...
