    help with xpand

You can't Xpand only has 1 midi channel so you need to set one up for each track. You can layer/split up to 4 sounds per instance.

    Monitors?

Yeah I prefer the krk's over the tr series. My Rokit 8's can handle bass better than those Tr 8's. I wouldn't get anything smaller than 6's though. Down here in tha south you gotta be able to pump that Bass! Actually I wish I had gotten the KRK v6's. They seem to be flatter and have a fuller sound.

    problem triton/mpc2000

It's Easy You shouldn't have to change any parameters. If you are recording all the midi into the MPC just run the triton out to the in on the mpc (a) and the out of the mpc (1) to the triton. In sequence mode on the mpc go to the bottom left of the screen. under track one set the setting to...

How Do I Record A Song From Mpc2000xl

You just run it through the audio outs. That's what they're for. Mr. Messenger, what are you talking about. Are you sure you mean the 2000XL?

MBOX or DIGI 001 or DIGI 002

Don't know how the sound quality compares but I hear that the Digi 001 has been discontinued because the PCI card won't work with the MAC G5. I liked the soud of the DIGI 001 and the 002 , never heard the MBOX. I think the sound depends more on your other equipment like mics and processors etc..

    So You Wanna Make Beats?

I got that same video and although I make beats already, nobody knows everything and some people may not know minor technical things like understanding notes, quantizing, separating tracks and little things that we all didn't know at one time. I know my beats aren't whack, I'll go head to head...

    Triton Studio Or Motif ES

If your looking for sound quality, the ES is probably your best bet. Also I like the Motif effects alot. Price wise the 61 key is $700 less than the Triton studio too. I'd go with the Motif ES. Also it supports USB storage devices. Triton studio has the same sounds as the Triton classic which...

    mpc 2000xl question

You can keep the floppy drive you have and then add a scsi zip drive later. For really short sounds like kicks and snares, floppies can hold a good amount of those. If you plan on sampling longer than 2 seconds you will probably want a zip drive. But it's good to have the built in floppy because...

    Mac vs.PC?

If you are planning to take your work to get professionally mixed in a studio, odds are they're gonna have Pro Tools running on a Mac. I think that's why people may have the idea that Macs are better. Check out these monsters. www.carillonusa.com www.cyberpowerpc.com www.tigerdirect.com

    Whos Seen This? ...hold Tight

I don't think it will be more than 2000. Roland usually has good prices and if they are high it will most likely drop in a few months. Looking at this unit it looks like they will come out with another upgraded model not too soon from now. Where is the d-beam? No Pitch bend value slider of some...

    MPC vs KORG TRITON

I have a Triton myself too. I got the MPC because the drum sounds in the triton just don't cut it. Although it samples, the process of writing the samples to programs every time I turn it on was too much of a hassle for me. plus, I don't have a computer right now and the MPC has 64 MIDI tracks...

Roland challenges the MPC??? Roland is coming with a production station of their own. If you check it out you can see the resemblance to the MPC. How many of these things do they need. The MC-909 just hit recently now the VM-8000. Look out Akai first the Fantom S now this!?!?!?

    mpc2000

I also have a scsi cd drive so I can put in a sample cd, take the sounds I want and save the programs and sounds on the zip disk. Keep the floppy to so you can transfer sounds from the computer or just to have mor options to work with.
