    The Best Software for Sampling

I know there is no "best" when it comes to software that is efficient in sampling. But I'm using Bias Peak Pro right now, and i'm looking to switch when I get my new workstation. What is really good for sampling? I hear good things about DP7.

Can I just say Windows sucks!

I quit fucking with windows after a HUGE computer crash in 07 that left me w/ nothing. Years of sounds and tracks that I did..... GONE. Moved to OS X and never looked back. I have used windows 7, its better but its still "windows".

Artist In Need Of Production >>> Freddie Crookz

LMAO! but I offered him beats, at a low price, not free :) I can laugh because this dude is hilariously cocky and shit. Anyways, every rapper thinks they are about to blow, or they have potential to blow. I understand what the OP is saying, but his approach was just wrong in my opinion. Like...

Best audio converter software for mac?

I'm using 'switch' for mac until I cop my new Mac Pro. Audacity is also good for single conversions and small time editiing. But, for multiple files... SWITCH

Artist In Need Of Production >>> Freddie Crookz

smh lmao @ niggaz asking for free beats and being picky at the same time. Ya'll niggaz are hilarious! Anyways, I don't know if I can cater to your style anyways, I'm more westcoast and Southern based and all of my clients are located in those regions. Feel free to peep the site though. I...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

*Sarcastic Voice* Yea, I haven't read that a million times on message boards before. And I'm not arguing with anybody, he has his view, and I have mine. Agree to disagree.

so, you think the Beat Thang's a toy?

for a $1000 bucks, I don't want to try it. LOL. We already know what it is. A portable "beat thang". If you used the software than you know what it is already. Nothing really new here.

so, you think the Beat Thang's a toy?

I'll pass on this toy. LMAO & paying $1000 for a hardware version of some shit that costs 100 bucks. LMAO even harder at those fast food beats people make with that shit. Give me the NI's Maschine instead.

Anyone here live in Florida? A few questions.

South Florida is overrated IMO. It's the shit when you're visiting, but living there ain't no different than living in new orleans really.... unless you're rich enough to live on south beach. Everything outside of south beach sucks balls. The beach and the woman are the best thing about the...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

Well, I guess that's the rappers problem. Like I said, it's their problem. I'm not going to give tracks away because a rapper is broke, unless that rapper is making some moves. Nobody works for free. And this whole thread only reinforces my point. If there weren't so many producers bringing...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

Lmao, that's the dumbest shit i've ever read on any hip-hop forum. How would a beat-maker get to a professional level if nobody pays him until he gets there? You won't make it anywhere in the industry with that attitude. Going by that logic, rappers should never get paid either, until they are...

Am I the only one who is ready to see the end of dirty south?

Couldn't agree more. SB dominates the mainstream & that's where all the hate comes from. No balance at all. Same 10 artists over & over again.

Am I the only one who is ready to see the end of dirty south?

How many times are people gonna BITCH about the south because of soulja boy? That's 1 person out of how many southern rappers? We have tons of good rappers from the south, but that doesn't matter to people not from the south, because all they see is soulja boy. Bottom Line: It's not the souths...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

If the artist is well known, obviously producers will work for free because of the exposure. But in most cases, it's people (like the guys a couple of post above) who are nobody's but feel they are entitled to beats for some reason. Yes, rappers need beatmakers/producers and vice versa. But...

    Inception

On the other hand, there were some inconsistencies in the beginning of the movie before they were actually in the dream that would suggest that he never left his dream. Examples: When he finishes talking to his daughter on the phone and head up to the helicopter. Notice that there is RAIN on...

    Inception

it was NOT a dream at the end. Even though it's really left it up for debate. If you notice in the dreams, the spinning top is consistently spinning without any loss in momentum whatsoever. But, at the end you can see that the top is unstable and gradually losing momentum. This implies that...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

also, this reinforces the point I made in the OP. Thirsty ass producers have de-valued the work that goes into production. Look at the lack of respect, see my point now?

    Quit Giving your beats away!

Sorry, but your logic sucks. DreamPolice is right on this one. With your mentality, no new producer would ever make it because everybody would just keep buying from the "big dogs". A producers job is to do just that... produce. It's up to the rapper to take that product and make it a hit...

OSX Vs Win7 for Music Production?

Most definitely, anything would be better than what I'm working with. It's a miracle that I made it this far w/ what I have. But a mac mini?... meh. I'm gonna need something a bit more expandable. I'm sure it's nice and everything, but I need something with more storage and options for...

    Quit Giving your beats away!

Yea, I hear ya. The point I'm making here is that people doing this are bringing down the dollar value. That's it. This dude sums it up perfectly. http://youtu.be/8LHVAYm_-zc @unorthadox I just want enough make a living doing this. I don't have to be rich or on TV. It's really as simple as...
