I got ugly stepchild and 1 to flow on disks. They are all drum sounds and they are ok. Nothing really to special. They are only like 10 bucks each but you only get about 20 sounds. Everyone on here tells me to sample my own drums and it does sound better when you do. I would recomend...

    chopping samples..mpc vs. software?

Ok soundforge reason and recycle used together is definately good for sample editing. Thats what I use, and basically you use the same idea that flipdasoulfisha outlined. You take a sample from whatever source and record it into soundforge. From there I take a loop or whatever samples I want...

Also when u guys make your drum loops do u guys make individual loops for everything i.e. snare, hi hat and then layer them on top of each other; or do u guys start with a hit and then try to build off of it. gettin faster

When I first started out and I was clueless it would take me forever to come up with something. Now I can bang out a dope beat in no time. Of coarse it takes a little bit of time to lay it all down in a full track, but I can make a beat faster now than before.

Creating Samples To Use In Reason

Yeah man from what I hear the matrix is sick for effects too. The way I understand it is you connect a seperate matrix for effects only and hook up the cable on note cv on the back of the matrix, and the other end goes to whichever effect you want on the back of the instrument. Then from there...

Creating Samples To Use In Reason

Hey thanx man, I went out and got recycle. WOW what a difference it makes loop editing so much easier, and it is actually a whole lot funner to use than sound forge in my opinion. I highly recomend recycel for anyone using software to edit and create sample loops.
