    What gear is everybody rocking?

    recently upgraded to 12 myself, mainly because of the new Midi controller set up being so damn amazing. My Cubase 11 still requires an iLok but 12 doesnt.

    this is dope, love that bass, proper throwback beat. Some strategic drum fills at the end of each 8 bars would sound really dope. Id throw an R-Vox on that snare too, just to make it a bit louder and snappy.

    This beat really has a neo soul vibe to it that would suit a soul singer I think. I really like the reversed sample. The beat changes throughout and keeps things interesting, nice work.

    I think I like your boom bap more than your trap tbh. I think you captured the vibe of the era. Love the brass stabs on the hook. The stereo play between the brass and the strings is really nice. My only critique is I think the kick is a bit muddy.

    I dont think the choice of sounds matches the vibe of the John Wick samples. The sounds all sound happy, its like playing "The Sun Has Got Its Hat On" while decorating the room with the brains of people trying to kill you. While this can be quite a disturbing scenario, I dont think it works here...
