id get a cheapy record player, bought my 1st one (a poineer) at pawn for like 10-20 bucks, and listen to 6 hours of music a day. you will get insane ideas on the plethora. if you can get records for real cheap then it's worth it but if not than samples from various things are dropped in places...

graff,
wow 75bucks a rec? I read your post in the digging section that you spent 500 shells on 30 albums at that Tucson shop. These records must be the platnium laced diamond dust type gems.. if you don't mind could you post some names of these albums? I'd like to google some of these and...
Relic, I never go to 'record stores' because their are prolly 7bucks or whatnot. Old bookstores are actually nice spots to find the untapped goodies.

I use Gemini PMX 04 which I was having to turn all of the levels up, it wasn't working out so I had to get the FJB-200X Phono preamp which solved everything. Now I have all the level headroom I will ever need.
I just came up with an 80's workout album the other day but after listening to some of it, it's more like her saying, "up, up, down, down, now hooold" to either funk or old rock so i doubt its really what your looking for.
Since I have been listening to so many records lately I have found an affinity in early jazz, muted jazz, and very early 1920's -30's swing and that era's "club" tunes.
These bonds will effect my productions in the future with-out-a-doubt.
What are some of your favorite era's in music &...
I forgot about FLAC, I need to become more familiar with FLAC's compresson ratio compared to 320 mp3 and also how easy it will be for me to work with this type of compression.
An Redrum, im taking that advice.. most of these albums I listened to on my sony mdr-7506 headphones and really...
