    I've used FL before but not for mastering and mixing. I used to use cubase to do all my mixing and everything but once I got sonar, I never went back. I don't know why but the mixing quality sounds much better than cubase.

    I just use the technics headshell that came with the technics..... I had a stanton headshell before... i didnt really like it. If you're buying your technics turntables brand new... it should come with headshells. If not, then bring it back the store and demand for it.
