I know the whole 'modern talking' presets and sounds have been pretty much raped beyond their life, I'm just wondering if you know of any other ways to get this kind of sound (a somewhat vocal-sounding bass/lead) from any synths other than NI Massive?
Looking to create anything from...
Been using a lot of synth sounds lately, but I can't help but notice sometimes my shit sounds 'thin'.
Is this just a case of mixing, or should I get better synths? If so, what synths are real good?
I'm using Albino 3 a bit, but I feel my tracks sound a bit 'thin' sometimes.
What it isss.
I recently did a scan on a downloaded setup.exe file, and my software reported it as a trojan.packed.38378 ...
I hear that some packed files get reported as viruses, should I be concerned by this and remove it orrr?

Literally just downloaded this, whacked it on my drum bus, tried a couple pre-sets.
Well hello!
I hadn't processed my drums yet, but they sounded pretty tasty already and the levels were balanced, but I whacked this on my drum bus and shit...
Seeing as my beloved TapeSim keeps crashing (not to mention some weird sudden stability issues with TruePiano), I sought out some tape/saturation plugins to do a similar job...
I got recommended both, Ferric TDS and Voxengo Tube Amp ... going to give them both a try and see what I get...
If you've got more than one artist/rapper on the track, how important is it to record through the same mic/pre-amp???
I understand some rappers will have a certain set-up that gives them their sound... How detrimental or not could this prove to the consistency of the track???
Quick question...
If when bouncing tracks to audio in Sonar, if I export them as 24bit files, but tick the option for "64 bit engine" in the bounce options, what is this actually achieving?
Need to know if I'm wasting time by clicking this...???
I've done this before successfully, but I'm looking for best/better ways to do this.
I want to double track some guitar lead I have, so the sound is pushed out to the sides leaving the centre more free.
How to do this whilst avoiding phasing in mono? I tried pitching one up, but it sounded...
Easy, my ILLBRETHREN.
I've been considering a move back (from Sonar) to Cubase, when I get all my equipment, money and shizz all sorted.
I just recently tonight, discovered/learnt/applied Sonar's AudioSnap feature, and it worked a fucking treat on some acoustic guitar I recorded in...
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
How do you guys deal with these sort of folk? Great voice, bad at communicating what they want.
My music theory is basic, but all I'm looking to hear is the track format in terms of bars.

What it ain't, my IllBrethren...!?
I'm looking for software, preferably cheap/free(if such is available), that will do a good job in backing up my files.
What I want it to do;
- Option to chose how often it 'syncs' files. (and to not delete files deleted from comp)
- Option to backup...
Are there any good accurate tuners that are either free or come included in DAWs?
I'm using Sonar 8 at the moment, and I the tuner I've got GTune (or something) isn't good at picking up quick signals such as drums.
Trying to think of what DAW I should switch to next, tough choice. Any...
I've been using Sonar 8 for a while... and exporting still seems to be a fucking hassle...
Does anyone know how to make it select/export the material between the start and end markers?
There seems to be no simple way of doing this. It's becomming quite a hassle.
Just curious as to what all the IllBrethren's goals, objectives etc are with this music ish???
You all looking for respect, fame, fortune, hit singles, just a hobby, what are your current goals and objectives with this music ish?

Just wondering if there's any good ones laying about anywhere with their bpm stated???
On the off chance, do any of you know of any Dr Dre + Snoop Dogg acapellas at 100bpm (or v. near). Or even solo dre/snoop. Wanna throw it over this last composition I mashed out for the timebeing before I...
Trying to teach myself piano/guitar (more focussed on piano right now), and I'm having a lot of confusion around how to figure out what chords go in what key.
So for example, in the key of A minor(etc), how do I work out what chords go in it???
Must all the chords only use notes that...
Does anyone know what the usage rights for their sample packs are??? (Including their demo kits)
Does anyone know the usage rights for other software instruments/DAWS etc.
Wanna make sure I'm fully in my right to release material using the sounds contained in software I use.
Much love
Easy, ill brethren.
Trying to remix this track, but for the life of me can't figure out the fuck is going on with any of the song's structure.
All I can work out is its tempo is 84bpm...
Just wondered how y'all cats break down the structure / time signature / key / notes of this...
