MPC and Protools question
diggity dope! im using a firewire410 so i'll be fine.. just need some cables. this way i'll have more control over the various tracks of the beat right up till the point that i bounce the song in protools. thanks duece -

im in the market for a new vocal mic any suggestions?
ayeaye i knew i got drew up in the hype :).. well the ksm27 does me great with a little reverb and compression.. although i use no preamp and it is not as warm as i would like it. listen to the previous advice, i think a decent mic with a tube-preamp is the way for you to go -
MPC and Protools question
How do I synchronize the mpc1000 with protools so that I can record each track, on mpc, on different tracks in protools? I.E. so that each track on the mpc is being recorded seperatley in protools much gratitude in advance, Chrono -

either way you usuially need a beat, i enjoy rapping freestyles to no beat, although mosty you use a beat.. to me beat = tempo that's all I need to know expressin expression according to the melody ect.. better rappers can fluidly express their ish syllbolically at many tempos others... -

many things.. turn your quantizing to like 1/32, or off, so it doesn't place everything at the begining of the bars or whatever. Also use hihtats to create a little melody; nothing special but something more than just hit, hit, hit, hit at the same time for each bar. Sometimes your melody can... -
