    LOL You and me, both.

Which VST plugin for hiphop bass you use?

Yeah..I'm not sure why these days VSTs still drain resources... Serum does that on some of their sounds....Like pretty badly, too. If I really liked the sound, I ended up bouncing JUST the instrument when I was done and then importing the audio.

I don't think I've seen a turnout like this for these comps. That's awesome!

    Changes to the battles?

I would say if it becomes a common thing that signups close too quickly, then maybe increase it by a couple each time to get that sweet spot. Themed comps should be limited....

    Your thoughts on beat styles?

Why should they make music that makes cents when they can make dollars? Respect is great when you made what you wanted in the 90s and kept loyal fans throughout.... Usually those dudes have made their money, already....... Then you had dudes like Waka rapping like this...but got no love..

I am just here for the money ;-)

    Which DAW do you use?

If GarageBand works for you, then by all means. Why would anyone laugh at you making music with something you're comfortable with? FL Studio for me, since version 2.5....when it was still called Fruityloops. I do have Maschine, and I dabble in that on occasion, but FL is my go-to for...

Off Topic Hip Hop Needs To Start Over

4 years later: Hip-hop became too corporate. When it began to be extremely profitable, those who have zero interest in the culture became those in charge.. In the age of streaming music and digitally purchasing songs instead of albums, the focus became to make a few hit songs... The...

Some real heat in this battle. And a good variety of styles, as well. This was well deserved. Congrats @Myers Trax

    Battle That! - December 6-9, 2017

Beat 22 is fucking serious.... Beat 23 - that drum loop never ever gets old. Beat 20..although a really good beat, is a poor beat choice for something like this. It's well constructed and still gets my vote... Great round, folks....

    Battle That! - December 6-9, 2017

Mixing definitely counts...some of the tracks were mixed too loud....like they were overly compressed, takes away from the enjoyment. I recognize one of the producers in the battle, already. That beat was fire.... There are some pretty good beats here....definitely some variety....

Which VST plugin for hiphop bass you use?

I use Serum... Just tweak it to what I want. Scarbee Rickenbacker is another I use on occasion.

Fuck...missed the signups. Been a crazy time here.....lost my HD and backup.......

    Your thoughts on beat styles?

I love trap......It's such a far cry from the boom bap I also love. It's like completely different ends of the spectrum.... I dabble in both as well as electronic music. I like to keep challenging myself to make something... And I just let it flow organically...whether it moves to the boom...
