It's amazing what you can come up with when working with a challenging sample. Ones that force you to chop them up to come up with something that loops smoothly. Even when composing I tend to stick to 4 or 8 bar loops so that the end result resembles hip hop. A lot of the variation comes from drum variation, or other 4 bar loops that I compose that come in and drop out for progression and to keep things interesting throughout- Opium Dave

I agree to an extent, sometimes I feel really dirty. Like with the Kill Till I Die one, I had to stem rip it to make sure I could make it more my own and not just chop and rearrange the sample and just adding some drums and some bass.
