How do you, vinyl heads, find your samples?
i listen to the intro, if i feel the vibe of the track i will needle pick the whole track, see if there is anything if i find two LEAD samples on the vinyl ill buy it then listen to the whole thing back at home -
How to get that db boost from your mix?!?!
yo you gotta use a limiter/maximiser.... on ythe sliders bring the threshhold down to whatever you like, perhaps to -4db, it will boost the output level 4db, if you set the threshold to say -6db, the level will be boosted by 6db there you go... -

hmmmm, blunt you pretty ethical ehh, i dont consider it stealing myself, look at roberta flack, she got shit loads of cash when fugees sampled her, not from wy but from peoeple buying her old shit, sampling revives careers, and surely sampling 2 bars from a song isnt stealing? beasties did... -

as i said, tuning knob... and to assign keys you gotta highlight THE INDIVIDUAL SAMPLE in the sampler....then you will get a bar spanning the key range you then manually pull both end of the sample bar together so the bar is then just a,well small bar assigned to one key, default, middle C. then... -

it sounds like you arent tuning the sample to the specific key on the sampler, bottomleft knob under the nnxt screen, turn it till it corresponds with the key that you are assigning the sample to.... just make sure the samples are prprerly chopped to the right bpm as well.... -
