Keys necessary with MPC?
currently I strickly use the mpc by itself.. but when i get a few songs finished this way i'll probably begin to use my keys with it again. The mpc is so powerful i think it's nice to use it by itself for a while to know everything it's capable of doing -

if it's not your ram, then it might be another application utilizing your sound card, like winamp or audition. even with the firewire410 i notice issues when running more than one app tapping into the sound interface -

make sure that the internal memory is more than 16 mb aswell. if your card is 2 gigs and your internal memory is 16 mb then you'll only be able to load 16 mb of the 2 gigs. buy the EXM128 to expand to 128 mb internal ram -
