Getting into other genres of music..
I think it's mainly composing. i'm not an expert but hiphop is more about the loops so try to compose a 2 minute song with absolutly no loops, or very few. It would be fluid like a musical story. Try to find music from other countries too, there is some real beautiful Japanese music -

When i first started I layered the drums in, so for a 2 bar loop i would hit the kick once and then again to the metronome; then the snare and then the hihat seperatly. Instead of trying to add the kick an snare at the same time -

I have a Creative Audigy 2 that supports ASIO with updated drivers. Do I change the latency from 50 to something else? I tried 60 an 40 but they both have delay as-well.:cuss: -

Reason+1000k=Latency
I am using reason for it's refills to sequence in my mpc1k. I have latency though, no matter how on beat I play my midi controller it is always an 1/8 second behind. I really noticed this on the 1st kick of the bars as it loops, The kick always sounds an instant before the note from... -

Also with vynal you always run into real obscure samples that you'd probably never run into by downloading. Samples from records made in the sixties by people that only sold a few thousand or less, i think the history of those samples make great tracks./- Chrono
