Why do you guys do this?
Yeah, especially with the times...Hip Hop is out of the spotlight (so to speak...). I think just about anyone who is even active in hip hop has to have a strong passion for it at this point. It went on a diet and trimmed the fat! =)- dacalion

yes, you can...putting a mixer in between will be fine. Personally, I wouldn't do it to change the sound (as far as any effects or processors, I do that in the computer) but I do use one to add more analog inputs to whats going in my computer. I mean, if it's a sales strategy thing that makes them wait, then I can't imagine them NOT dropping their releases at the end of Spring or early Summer like Sucio was saying. I've decided to rearrange my music library, I'm doing it by the month that the new release comes out. In doing so, I noticed a trend in the last 2 years. I think Kanye is good at what he does but theres a BIG difference between a rapper and a lyricist. I would even say that Kanye is more successful than Busta but Kanye lyrically going toe to toe with Busta is impossible.- dacalion

Here's the funny thing to me...It really seems like most (not all) of the big names are sticking to their guns...basically putting out a CD with 2 or maybe 3 killers on the album while the hungry vets and newbies are dropping albums with maybe 2 or 3 duds on them.
