I was telling everybody in the Chatbox how much fun this was. It's a basic tutorial on Blend mixing. I've found that even a lot of scratch DJ's can't blend so maybe this will be helpful to some and just entertaining to others. Anyway, sit back, relax and ENJOY! This really reminds me of my club... -

compression / gain
When I compress, I use a multiband compressor/limiter/gate, I start with the low band, then I do the high band and last the mids. Each range should have a gain as well (atleast mine does...). Then I use the overall gain to bring everything up to my desired level. I agree with Formant as far as... -

I usually dig for Discographies...I found 52nd Streets 2 album discog and before DeBarge there was a group called "Switch"...I found their discog. Oh! and I found "The Adventures of Captain Sky" Album...extremely rare on wax and pretty hard to find in general. -
