Maybe u dont have much CPU power or u have to much stuff on your hard drive. I use to have the same problem with Cakewalk along time ago. But i use a track recorder now so I cant really tell you much other than what I said above. Hope that helps. ONe -

Ok read that and I found out that the 2k does not transmit or receive sysex data. So what are my other options? How can I save the sounds I use on da PK-6 so when I load up the MIDI sequence saved on da 2k it will play the sounds that I used from da PK-6? Somebody help me out please. ONe -

hard disk recorders
I use a VS-1680 and the only reason why is b/c Roland has some killer ass effects also i dont have to worry much about freeze ups, viruses, ect.. Also i dont have to worry about speed either. But one thing I do have to worry about is storage. But its really up to you though cause u can still get... -

Yeah u can hook up an sound module wit your MPC1k. You will be able to control the sounds via the MPC pads or a midi controller. I dont have the sound module but I do have the PK-6(keys) and its da truth. It has some nice sounds on it. Especially some nice strings, brass,.. sounds. I love... -
Good Mixers
Yeah those 8 outs can be an pain in da ass sometimes. But on da real get yourself a soundcard/audio interface with enough i/o's cause to me a mixer isnt really needed inless u jus wanna have a more hands on control. ONe -

How Do You Burn Beats made on MPC 2000XL to CD?
You will need either a track recorder or a computer with recording software to track out your tracks, mix them, and then save as .wav to burn to a cd. I would only recommend using MP3 for internet purposes b/c .wav is better quality than MP3 when it comes to saving your work.(in my opinion)... -

If you need an mpc get at me on pm. Like my man example_one said I do sale them for a low price especially to fit budgets like yours. Dont expect 8 outs, maxed memory, ect for 400 bucks but u will get a good deal. Oh yeah by da way i just sold a MPC2k for 535 the only issue was the screen...
