    that's cool. I was reading that Cher used the Vocoder a lot as well. I've been messing around with it and it hasn't impressed me much and I think it's application for hip-hop is limited but it's still worth giving it a try.

    yeah man that's a good start. can you give me a better idea of how you layer your snares, do you just put one snare sound over the top of the other or is there a different technique. I'm using FLStudio and I know there is a layering option there but I haven't had a chance to learn it yet.
