Sampling Method Tips
Personally I start with the sample and no drums because the sample dictates everything that follows, key, vibe, groove. Everything. I often start composing around the sample with a bassline or something before ever adding drums. Because I program the drums, I do it to the groove of the sample.- 2GooD Productions
