    try using the grainulizer to stretch out samples, a lil tricky at first but you can stretch it out sounding more natural and less choppy.

    most just loop 1-4 bar samples with a little beat over it and theres nothing special about that. try to cut up samples from the left and right channels and save them in mono. adding effects to them will create your own space in stereo. try goldwave for free and see if it makes chopping samples...

    You can do some amazing things with acid (yeah lsd too). but most people just loop their drums. i like to see people chop stuff up like crazy with that program. i used to make beats on goldwave when i didnt know about fruity loops!
