i say do it.. what the hell do u have to lose? use the xperience to make connects and gain a rep.. all of the current A listers started out that same way ..kanye,danja,neptunes,timbo,storch, etc... all of them. the most imporant thing is to make connects and just meet diffrent people. -

its about knowing ur monitors weaknesses and having multiple sources to ab with. equipment isnt nessecarily evrything although it will save u alot time. The best low end solution imo is to get an amp and a set of passive avantone mixcubes to go along with whatever monitors u use. the mixcubes... -

pretty much all of them are good. i used to run ableton alot but when my hd crashed earlier this year i never found another krack cocaine hit of it ;). i run pro tools,bias peak, and recycle mostly. before u guys just start building shit i suggest u look into acoustics and do some research. trust me if u have too much foam and padding everywhere, and have the mic enclosed like that, ur voice is gonna sound boxy and muffled as fuc ... which is cool if u wanna remake 36 chambers or ol dirtys... -

i dunno i get the feeling that doing it that way is gonna give u a boxy and muffled sound..... cool for podcasting or chessy voiceovers but not ideal for a quality hip hop release imo... the reflexion filter is way better than the foam in box lol... imo ur just better off getting a good... -
