4th deciple Killah Preist Beats Style..

just cause kanye produce's for 'everybody' don't make him greater than the rza. rza isnt in his prime as of late, but the production on his last album was greater than kanye's whole career(and i like kanye). give kanye and rza the same soul sample, its a fact that rza will flip the iller beat...

one of the main points of digging is to enjoy and appreciate the music you are trying to sample. if you can't find music in a sample then digging wont be fun and ur beats will reflect that with weak chops or just str8 up boring/plain loops. and most of the hiphop beats i hear that are not...

MC in the studio. Your steps to finishing a track.

usually i write outside the studio but... get my squad together...listen to a beat and toss out ideas while smoking a blunt. wait till the high comedown then spit the verses. it take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours. listen to everything, add effects and accent the vocals. smoke a few more...

    Droppin bass sound, how?

umm, all you have to do is play another key with less velocity, on my moog it has a 'glide' function to automatically pitch bend notes more smoothly into eachother. you can also set the pitchbend wheel to be less responsive in most programs to emulate playing a diff key or switching octave's
