Acid Question

This should be pretty simple, but I don't know where to start. I lost my manual, sorry. lol, anyways I have a keyboard with midi cord hooked up to my computer and I just want to know how to use it in Acid to play out wav samples? And if I wanted to use the sound engine on my keyboard, how would I go about that? I'm really slow, so the more specific the more helpful. Any help is much appreciated. Peace.

If you want to input wav samples, then you'd have to run your keyboard through your audio input jack on your sound card, not through your midi port. Midi is a completly differant type of file, but I'm sure you can input midi in to Acid as well.....

So the USB/Midi cord I bought is pretty much pointless for what I want to do? I know I'm gonna sound really stupid writing this, but what kind of cord do I need then?

your sound card input port is basically a Stereo jack. It's looks like your standard headphone jack. You're gonna have to find something that can run from your keyboard to your computer using a stereo jack to your sound card. You're just gonna have to go by ear on this one, cause I don't know what kind of Keyboard you're using. But don't worry, it's pretty easy. If Wal mart doesn't have what you're looking for, Radio Shack will. In the meantime, I wouldn't say that usb/midi cord is pointless at all......
