Like he didn't know how to respond to his son or nephew crying like that so he sat there for second and then started crying. But while he was crying, he was still trying to figure out what to say so instead of really crying, he was doing one long cry/scream to buy himself some time to figure out what to say... which is why he was rubbing his chin, LOL.
