Battery 3 sounds?

Does anyone know if you can have battery 3 running and have the sounds on zip disk but take the zip disk out to get different sounds but still have the sounds from the other disk still playin jus like a mpc cause I have a zip drive my boi is gonna give me for 20 bucks with 3 disks but I jus needed to know that b4 I buy it he lives to far away to let me try it and see if it works....Soo I came to the ill fam to ask the question....Does anyone know???????.......

Come on man I know someone can help witht his man I know sum of u are gonna say use the internal hard drive for soudns or get an external well i have both but still I jus want to know if this will work??????????????????????????????????

I'm gonna have to be honest.. You just have to try that shit ..

Your computer will not explode if u take out a zipdisk while a program is using sources from it. You probably do it often with CDs.

Lastly, it depends on whether battery uses the sound srtaight from the harddrive, or copy it to a temporary location incase you decide to edit it (since it is a sampler). I think there's an option for that tho.. and if its enabled, you should be able to tdo what ur doing.


but... its not that huge of a problem, if iny at all.

ill try it with a floppy disk first and see if it works then ill buy it if it does work but I know alot of people doin that with FXPansion Guru when they use it standalone istead of as a vst.....I jus wanted to know thoe if anyone uses it like that but ill try it I jus need more replys from anyone whos tried it or uses it or used to do it.........

Just put the sounds on your hard drive. It makes it easier and less of a hassle. Sometimes zips can fuck up and become unreadable. But if u copy all of it to your hardrive its right there and easy to access. But always make a back up copy of your samples/sounds. Just in case.
