I understand your point of view fats, but you have to face it, this is one of the trends of music creation these days regurgitate sounds try to make whats old new again, take what someone else created and add to it hopefully adding your own flavor and passion to it.
Everybody has something they want to express you can't blame someone for wanting to express themselves in music a certain way. Using methods which are comfortable to them, as opposed to possibly living up to certain standards; there are no clear and cut standards or rules for making Hip-Hop music. It's up for grabs!
Also to follow up again on what fats said, because I feel it is an important issue to think about: it seems as though people want the music practically given to them these days, what I mean is no blood, sweat or tears, no practicing on your keyboard all night to get that bassline just right, less and less musicianship and more of just a collage of sounds playing together simultaneously.
The DJ has practically become instinct in Hip-Hop which is a very important element that needs to be preserved if possible. Us producers these days (including myself) have to become more innovative, more creative than every before whether we use a drum loop or sample from what someone else made or not, otherwise 20 years from now, who will our sons and daughters have to sample off of, the well is running dry, We need to replenish it with some more ILLMUZIK! Think about it.
