Fl studio help

just purchased fl.. I know this is a simple and maybe stupid question but i can't find the answer in any tutorial videos.. On the little rectangle pattern screen, how do I delete or erase something? Like if I plug a kick in how can I take that kick off?

Would you be able to take a screen shot?

Cuz the only thing I can think of is right-clicking. Or right click the kick on the pattern selector, go to the piano roll and delete that way.
