FL users: AUTOMATION???

I'm just wondering if any of y'all use "Automation" on a regular basis and if so, for what type of things?

I don't use it often but it is very usefull though.
I use it sometimes for effects, but I do the mixing in acid and use the automation of fx there, cause it is easyer I think

"automation" is a function that allows you to record events such as changes in volume, pitch, fx etc.

I automate volumes, panning, filters, envelopes, fx sends, master pitch, actualy anything I find effective during the production of a particulair track.

nah, just joking, I just cant really think of too many situations of when I would need to use Automation. I do have an open mind though...

Yeah, i do make dancemusic, but besides that its a usefull function for common automation jobs like fx send fade ins and outs, i.e. make reverbs appear and vanish. Ít's a general purpose on daw platforms, effective whatever music is made.

I use it actually very rarely, but its nice to use when you want to fade in/out your track, but thats laziness cuz I can take it to soundforge and do that afterwards. other than I find it "cool" some of the things you can do to sounds with automation, but in the genre of hip hop n r n b, cool is just weird and doesn't fit in well with the artistes so i leave out all a that coolness out, its useful in disco n trance n em other joints where that type of twistedness is accepted as normal in the beat.
