freeing up memory on the mpc 1k

im workin on a crazy beat on the mpc1000 and i am trying to add sum effects n shit and when i try loading up new samples it says insufficient memory, is there a way to free up sum memory by scraping sum unused sounds to make room for the new ones, thanks

Delete samples you're not using, that should help.

i read about a way to solve this in an interview with shadow, which might help:

he sampled all his stuff @ 45 rpm and then pitched it down. he was workling on an mpc60 which has much less sampling time. apart from that memory extension to an mpc are relatively cheap right now.
Apart from that u could convert your samples to mono.

Do you have a PC? If so get a USB chord and just drag & drop some of the samples your not using over to a folder on your PC. And another word of advise "Never delete a sample you never know when you might need it."
