Yea, i some some of that shit, it was directed by Martin Scorseese(dont know if thats spelled right). I thought it was pretty sick.

Yeah just like hip hop, it was culture that develop from, people just being almost hopeless and singing about it was the only way they stayed sane and was like therapy for their despair. Nobody had money so if you could sing a blues song and play the guitar you was a ghetto superstar.
