How do I save midi notes on 1k?

All the time I play from my sound modules to my mp, I cannot seem to load my sequence with the midi tracks I recorded. How do I save the midi tracks in my mp so I can load them back up? I know I should of went to the mp forum, but I'm at work and this computer has a block on that forum for some reason. Thanks, please let me know.

What sound module do u have? U should be able to save the sounds u used on yo sound module. hmm let me know

I have the roland jv1010. When I record to track 1 per say on the mp and other tracks, when I shut the mp off after saving entire memory, I cannot load it back up when I turn the mp back on. Everything is lost.

of course everythin is lost because you didnt save the sounds being used on da JV-1010. Make sure you save the Sequence on the MPC 1000 and save the sounds you are using on your JV to the JV. Like i use a PK-6 and i have to go to save to save the sounds i used for a sequence so that way when i load up the sequence the files are all still there. Do you have a manual? If so lookin your manual's index and see if it says anything about saving. It should and follow that and let me know what happenz.

what i do is i save the sequence as a seq.file the notes r there.............so when u turn back on ya sound module if u got the sounds saved on there 2 it will come back but yea u dont have to save the entire memory..........just the sequence on the MP and save the bank and presets on ya sound mod and u should be good

Thanks I will check out my manual. I thought it had something to do with my mpc.
