how many of your beats do you actually like?

i used to rap a few years back and if i felt the beat i'll rap to it. i don't know how many people feel the same way but if the beat is wack i don't wanna listen to it. don't get me wrong there are some beatz i be like, i like this but its wack.....i know it sounds like im contradicting myself but it happens(producing ur own tracks).

Some Times A Beat Isnt Hot Untill Someone Is On It Their Voice Is That Missing Instrument. But For Me I Like About 10%-15% Of All The Beats I Make.

I only really ever make a beat that i like, don't see the point in making sumthing that you don't like ! ?
I prefer to spend a lot longer on beats, taking my time to make sure its sumthing i like than to keep churning out beats all the time and not like half of them !

Now thats some real shit... thats what i was sayin... why bother spending the time makin it... if i get some shit goin i aint like... function 23 12 (clear memory).... i like 100% of my shit from the beggining... of course i listen to some old shit and may laugh... but it got its place and is tight.... or after you edit some shit for like 10 hours of hearing the same beat it does get a little old... i think someone said they like 10 - 15% or they shit.... ???????????????????????????????? what up

i only like my very 1st beats i made on my boss dr groove beat machine back in the 90s all the beats i make now are are killin them off 100 fold but theres nothing likr your 1st beats

i say about 70% percent are garbage and aboout 30% would be tight because i am a perfectionist sometimes people like the ones i think are wak i try to depend on people but in truth a lot are garbage but the tight ones make up for it

I like most of the beats I make, but it's funny because the ones I think aren't that cool are the ones emcee's wanna rock most. And then I'll play a beat that I think is way tighter and they'll not think its that cool. I think my taste in music is alot different then what other emcee's like. Most cats just want a club banger that'll be real catchy. Like the beat I made for the latest beat this! comp, I didn't think it was that great but a few emcee's I work with were going crazy over it. I sold it for like 350 bucks right away. But I have other beats I think are way tighter that never get bought. I think its all oppinion. I was chillin with my boy who's a A&R for Fat Records and played him all the beats from that beat this! comp and most had him crackin up! He only thought mine and one other beat could actually be used in a real commercially released song, but I thought a few of the tracks he laughed at were better then mine. My beat was just more of a club banger, but the other tracks were producer type beats, I like those most.
