I just listen'd to fittyz and Girlwest albums. (In there entirety) I can't see Girlwest out selling 50 based on what I heard. You also get 17 tracks on Fittyz album compared to only 13 on Girlwest. Fittyz album is put together better IMO....it flows a whole lot better to me.

Fittyz shit IMO is far superior track wise 2 Girlwests. Fittyz shit bangs way harder and is engineered on a whole other level than Girlwests. Lyrically I say it's dead even. Neither blew me away! Fitty got the more catchy lyrics and hooks to me. We all know hooks sell songs these dayz!

Girlwest is whinning like the biotch that he is on the last track "Big Brother". You produced for a star nigga! Why not just get in where you fit in. At the time nobody was trying to hear you rap fool! You were put on the roster as hot producer. "PUSSY"! No fool will ever get respect from me going at one of the best to ever do this shit "Jigga". Dudes need to really get up off Jay. Jealous suckazzzzzz!

I can also see Girlwest heavily leaning toward producing Pop music exclusively in the near future. He's paving the road for the transition on this album. He thinks he's in the top 5 lyrically but how many more songs is this fool gone bitch about not getting his props here and not getting his props there. His close homiez need to tell 'em his sanitary pad is full...change that shit homo!

Nothing on Girlwest album can come close to "I get money". I will give him props for that Michael Jackson PYT flip for Good Life....that shit was hot to me.

P.S. Neither album is GREAT...my opinion is based on one against the other. C'mon's album is better than both put together!

Eventhough Im pretty sure that Fiddy will outsell Kanye based on their fan base alone, I liked Kaynes CD better. I'm down with that new york / east coast / hiphop style, period. It's not like I even care that much about Kanyes lyrical flow, he's just got that east coast hiphop beat ish on lock.

i dont knwo about all this far superior stuff u guys are buggin.. they are just diffrent.. it depends who u are and what u relate to....

50's album is like the big manhattan 3 floor club where u got half naked ladies dances in cages and the music is loud and bangin. You go in with ur homies and ball out, get a bottle grab some girls and party up and ur hung over as shit the next day waking up next to some chick u dont know. (pretty good night right?)

kanyes album is the brooklyn lounge spot that plays the music low enough that u can actually conversate. U can get some cheap brew and chop it up with ur best homies. U might spend all night only talkin to one girl, get her number and actually rememebr her name. lots of laughs, lots of good times, and this chick ur talkin to actually seems cool and even if u dont take her home tonight u might give her a call in few days to hang out (Good night aswell)

depends what u like... me im the latter so i kinda relate to kanye more .. but i still like 50. kanye gets more long term spins from me then 50 does.. his albums just stay in my rotation longer bottom line..... its a preference thing. i do think 50 will sell more, but i might pull kanyes album out three years from now and be like "damn i remember this, lemme get refreshed on this album real quick".. i still think college dropout is a masterpiece i dont care what anybody says.. but get rich or die tryin was a masterpeice too cant deny that either.

No dissrespect but i didn't read past the first two sentences.... 50 album was ass.

Its quality not quantity.

I'd bump one hot track over 17 mediocre (at best) tracks anyday..

I have both albums and listened to both of em.

the best thing about fifs album was the intro.

wow . had a deep listen to both yesterday .. kanyes is way better .. 50 has that initial knock .. the first time i compared them both was in the whip so fiftys just stood out more in that regard cuz it knock my speakers back.. that ill still kill beat was crazy ... but after a couple days of listenin .. kanyes is sooooo much better both production wise and lyrically ... i still like college dropout better but graudation is a good album... 50 showed no growth or devlopment whatsoever .. he mightve even went backwards lyrically since massacre which is not a good look. its hard for me to get into 50's at all. i like bucks last album better than 50s and bucks wasnt all that great to me either so thats where i stand.

the funny thing is that when riggs morales was accepting track submissions for the album he said he did not want a a bunch of "dre sound-alike beats" but when i hear the album i actually do hear alot of dre soundin stuff that dre didnt do lol... half the album sounds "dre-ish" to me even thoough he only did one joint. im suprised he only did one track and truthfully its not very good and it actually does not even sound like a dre track to my ears! lmao

The way I c it is like this. If the "hip hop heads" get behind Kanye because they consider him "more lyrical" and that he's setting new trends and not rapping about the same ole shit (which always seems to be the argument) then 50 will beat Kanye by a land slide! You don't have to look any further than ya man C'mons album! Keep yappin about "quality over quantity" and watch your favorite MC's go from Major label deals to Independent label deals! Hate it or love it...you don't sign with a Major label unless you can go Platinum. That's the majors standard and unless you live on another planet where the rules are diff't everyone typing on this thread knows this to be true. All the "real hip hoppers" got behind C'mon and Kweli and look where it got there albums (in the tank...in the toilet...in the dumps etc.) It maybe in "your cd player" or "your MP3 player" but that's not many "players". Fact is fact!

If you're not making music for the masses you best stay underground and put your shit out yourself. That way you'll see more of the procedes should you sell "way less" than gold like both MC's mentioned above. 300G sold on an independent level is a very successful album...300G sold on a major is a flop and will have you looking for a new home and trading in that Benz for a Hyundai Hatch back!

Now with all that said don't get it twisted! I'm not a big fan of either. I was a fan of Kanye back during the Blue Print days because of his production...not because of his flow. I'd much rather hear OutKast or Nas any day of the week. I'm just speaking on these two artist because they are the main focus right now. If they were not, I wouldn't be having this discussion about either period! Holla but do so with fact not feelings! Feelings are going to have your favorite rappers on that "where are they now show"!

I agree Buck the World is my favorite hip hop album to come out this year so far. The features hes got and a couple of songs are really good, mainly the song with Chester Bennington (lead from linkin park) is an amazing song, his song with Ky-mani Marley is definatley a nice addition to the album, and also his song with Snoop and Trick Daddy all talks about some real shit. Lose My Mind goes pretty deep into Buck's mind and life, great cd majorly over looked.

Ur misinformed about the money thing bro

Good music is getting paper.... they do less than half the advertising of some of larger labels but sell just as much. 50 has 4 singles , 4 videos, and heavy radio payola. Kanye has half that and i hear his record half as much on the radio but yet he is still actually higher on the singles chart so i fail to see how 50 is getting more money. If u have four singles and 4 videos, an album with 13-15 diffent producers including the most expensive producer AND singer in the game (timbo + justin). Heavier radio payola .. .. how are u making money? .. kanye doesnt have to work with nearly as many producers and engineers.. he def hasnt spent as much on advertising and he only has the 2singles and i think he only has one video. Do the math. Common hardly even advertised his shit and it sold pretty well for todays market. common also is heavy performer and artists make more on performance than record sales.

Who cares how many records u sell anyways...seriously .. there are many artist that sold more records than common but are broke and without a deal right now .. its about longevity my dude.. thats what these new niggas dont understand.. i heard interview where talib says he does over 100 shows a year worldwide. I dont give a fuc how many records u sold thats paper from shows alone. and u cant bootleg a show. They are doing them and thats fine by me. Neither are anywhere near broke either and prolly got more in the bank than u think. Common and talib will always be around untill THEY decide to give it up. Im not a particluar fan of either one but I respect what they do. I dont give a fuc about "takin it back" or "real hip hop" or whatver people what call it... i do like "quality music" though ... i like when passion, truth, care, and genuine effort is put into a record. I like material that doesnt lose its appeal in a few weeks and i like records that arent gimmicky or generic. I like when an artist can get better over time and grow and develop. thats "real" hip hop right there. Its got nothin to do with genre or style or whether ur from the north or south or west or whatver. 50's record is boring, uninspired and not very creative. kanyes is is interesting, honest, and much more creative and has longetivty (longevity is what REALLY gets u paper)
