Thank you man. This was one where I just felt like putting aside all of the fancy plugins, stick with proven sounds, and focus on emotion/storytelling. Happy to hear it's being received that way.

Love the deepness of your beat, the dusty effect makes it very unique and do fit with the vibe. I don't know if Im the only one but I do not find it "sad". Kind of beat I would wake up to in the morning to be honest! I like it.

Id try warming up the upright bass a little bit, you have the layered sub on it but I think the upright could be a little more present, maybe some tube or tabe saturation on it.
Dope beat, lends itself easily to rappers. I think you got the crust just right.
