Just Copped!

Hey I just copped an MPC 2000, and was about to get a SCSI zip drive for it. But some guys on eBay are saying you need a special cord for it. From doing research I know that the 2000xl needs a special cable, but cant I just use the regular SCSI cable for the 2000?

I use the cable that came with my zip drive and I have a 2000. The cable came standard.

Be aware that theres 2 different models that Iomega made tho and theres a lot of people on eBay advertising that they have a zip drive thats for your MPC that actually dont work with it.

My boy has a 2000xl and went through the same thing about 5 years ago trying to find a drive for his MP....
I cant remember what it was that was different but it has to do with the pin type on the scsi cable.
Some work correctly with the MP, others dont....

Id head on over the MPC-Forums and do a search there.

Hes got the 2000xl, pretty sure u both need the same zip and cable tho.
