I have an Acer Aspire laptop with 512 ddr2 memory w/ Intel Celron 1.6 ghz processor. My soundcard is "RealTek AC97 Audio" which does not have ASIO.

I want to use Reason as a sound module with a midi controller for my mpc1k. When I attempt this there is a delay between me hitting the note and it actually producing a sound. Previously for my home computer I fixed this by turning down the ASIO to 2 which fixed it. Considering that this laptop does not have ASIO.. what are my options?

Is there software available to download that emulates ASIO?
