lil bassline tip, been working well for me

record your main riff first, along with yuor drum. use a meldic instrument, strings or perhaps the upper register of a piano, and play a melody line till yu find a good one. essentially, you play your bass with anther instrument and then sitch the midi file to the bass track on your sequencer... adn move the ntes to the lower register.

it's worked really ell for me as f late.
