Buy the screen and replace it yourself. If you can put a memory card or sound card in a computer you can surely open the MPC unplug one screen and replace it with the other. It's pretty str8 foreward once you open the MPC up. The screen alone will cost you around $145 dollars so why spend an extra $100 dollars on labor for something that simply plugs and snaps into place?

That's one of the draw back to getting an MPC 2G or 2Gxl...the screens go out at least yearly. I've replaced mine twice and it needs a third one now. The only reason its only been 2 times is because I didn't use it for almost 3 years. The price for the screen has never went down so I assume Akai can't fix the issue any other way than replacing the screen.

U can order it here:

I peeped out mpcstuff a long time ago but I jus wanna know what other places repair tooo....

If you have a local Guitar Center check with them. There are not to many authorized akai repair places out there. A place like GC would definitely be able to point you to someone locally around you that can work on MPC's. There won't be a major difference in price and if there is make sure they're legit!
