Logic Help: converting WAVs to mp3

New to Logic Pro....anybody know how to convert Wav files to mp3?

Open the wav file in the Compressor software that came with Logic and you can select MP3 for podcasting. Should do the trick.

Why are you converting a wav to mp3?

Bouncing it will work.

If its a sample or vox you are droping in the session dont convert it just use it as is then bounce the song as a whole to mp3

no I am simply opening a wav file and tweaking it slightly before convrting to Mp3

Or you could simply make your modifications to your wav file in Logic and then bounce to MP3, easy as that.

I attached a screen highlighting where to get to the bounce dialog.

I like compressor better because I can do a batch of wave files at a time, in fact I can even distribute the processing over my network, of course its not like MP3 encoding uses lots of CPU power, but it sure does help on the video side.
