mellowdee help?

yo av been doing this for aminute now but ma tracks feel so hallow.the drum patterns are okey i believe so but the symphony or the mellowdee that acompanies them is so without life.can anybody help me on this,i.e put some life in ma tracks.what shoulkd or shouldnt i do?av just switch to reason 2.5 its great though.i use fruity too.or if there is a video i can download since am not online most of the tyme i can go check at home.thanx yall.peace!

if you don't care for your melodies too much, than grab some samples of some melodies you like, chop em up and use em in the nn-xt. if your tracks sound hollow you may need to throw some efx on your track through the auxilaries.

Exellent point! I thought of that myself, but was to lazy to post it. LOL!

the only problem iz that my recycle iz demo so am locked to the samples which are in the demo software.or can i use other software like adobe audition to chop?

ya you can, you can also use Sound Forge, or Audacity(its free)

www.audacity.com - not sure if its right, so google it.

okey i have sound forge 7 and adobe audition but what format should i save the chops.am not realy good at sampling but am trying to learn something new daily hope soon i'll be the don

For the NN-XT it's an ".wav' extention file.
